What's new in Forest Admin: Inbox in your Workspace & process-focused navigation

Improved Navigation & Customization Center

By now you've all had a chance to navigate our new, process-focused interface, where Collections, Workspaces, Inboxes, and Dashboards live conveniently alongside each other. Within a same Folder, you can now quickly go from viewing key metrics in a Dashboard, to investigating a case within a Workspace, and even dig deeper in a Collection.

Meanwhile, the new Customization Center brings a consistent building experience to Admins and Editors working hard to make Forest Admin feel like home for their users.

Inbox in Workspace

Forest Admin's Inbox ensures priority records are automatically dispatched to individual users within your operational team.

Workspaces enable these same users to tackle specific use cases within a dedicated view.

It was only a matter of time before 2 of our most powerful features came together, and offered the perfect solution to most (all?) of your use cases!

The new Inbox component can be plugged right into your favorite Workspace, and take the hassle away from finding or picking the next record to work on; click on Start Processing and know that the task at hand is always the most important one.

Revamped Workspace Builder

While we were at it, we also improved the way components are organized, to better guide you through building your ideal Workspace:

• Design an intuitive flow and interface with Layout & Guidance elements
• Search for a record, select one from a Collection, or let an Inbox pick the next priority item for you; Source components set the context for your Workspace so you can...

JSON Tree Viewer

The new JSON Tree Viewer lets you collapse nested items, and search for a specific key or value; find out more in our documentation.

Team Performance dashboard improvements

The average handling time has been added to the Performance chart, and more preset Date Filters are now available in the Team Performance dashboard, helping you keep track of your team's efficiency.

Navigate away from Action forms

How many times have you had to close an Action form halfway through it because you needed access to information elsewhere? Whether the answer is 0 or "too many", our upcoming collapsing action forms will ensure this never happens again! Here's a little preview of what you can expect an Action form to look like after navigating away from it 👀

Organize your Segments independently from their Collection

Collections can be broken down into Segments; Users can be New or Onboarded, Customers belong to different Markets, Transactions can be Fraudulent, Suspicious, or Validated, etc...

These records may belong to a single DB table, but operationally, they're handled in completely different ways.

To better reflect this, it will soon be possible to organize Segments independently from their parent Collection, so they can be placed alongside Workspaces, Inboxes, or Dashboards that are relevant to how you need to process them, not how they exist architecturally.
