Release Notes November 2024

As 2024 is coming to an end, it’s easy to get caught up in the holiday spirit. But here at Forest Admin, the end of Q4 has not been idle, and we’re bringing you the improvements and features you need to finish 2024 stronger than ever. Apart from sharing the big news about Forest Assist, we’ve released a local development environment in Forest Admin Cloud, and the Performance Reporting View for managers to keep track of their team’s progress. Plus, more features are just around the corner. Let’s dive in 👇

🤝  New to Forest Assist: More options to map your data

Forest Assist brings your app's data to a ticketing system, eliminating the need to switch between tools and, as a result, allowing you to close tickets faster. Previously, it only used the name to identify customers and match them with a record in your DB. Now, you can also use the email address, phone number, or organization 🥳

Another update to Forest Assist is the ability to look into multiple collections for broader access to data.

☁️  Local development environment in Forest Admin Cloud

Customer operations are unique, and your internal tools should reflect that. Forest Admin offers myriad customization options, like custom fields and actions, to display and manage the data exactly the way your team needs it. These features are available on both Forest Admin Cloud and self-hosted environments; however, until now, Forest Admin Cloud didn't have a local development environment. 📊  Performance Reporting View

Forest Admin's Inbox enables your operators to efficiently handle tasks dispatched to them, but tracking that efficiency is critical to managers looking to improve their processes. With the new Performance Reporting View, it is now easier than ever! It also means you can handle operational workflows from A to Z on Forest Admin.

💅  More formatting options

You might have already noticed that rich text editors in record editing, actions, notes, and approval workflows have new formatting options. With improved link management, headers, the ability to upload images, and history tracking, your team members can provide as much detail as they need in an organized way.

🥁 Coming soon

Soon you can expect more features and improvements to make your operations even more efficient.

AI is coming to Forest Assist, and it will suggest the right actions and data based on the conversation with the customer.

📂 You'll see more intuitive ways to organize your processes on Forest Admin, such as grouping your collections in folders.

🚀 Live query support will soon be available in new versions of Forest Admin agents, facilitating the connection of more data sources, and creating more complex charts using SQL queries directly from the UI.

Stay tuned!
