Happy New Year!

As we say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025, we’re excited to share our end-of-year product update highlighting the most important features we launched and the improvements we made. But first, we want to give a huge shout out to the Forest Admin community! It’s all thanks to you for sharing your feedback and inspiring us to create the best solution for running customer operations. Thank you so much!

Now, let’s jump into the recap 👇

🌟 The highlights of 2024

🚀 Close support tickets faster with Forest Assist

Tired of switching tools and getting lost among all the open tabs? We get it... That's why we created Forest Assist - a side panel that opens within your ticketing system, whether it's Zendesk, Intercom, or Crisp. Forest Assist gives you access to all relevant customer data and workflows right next to your current support ticket, so you can focus on the task at hand and avoid frequent context switching. Let's have a look at how it works. 🚀

➡️➡️➡️ Inbox: An automated queue of records for your team

Or maybe your pain is to deal with a high volume of tickets to solve? Users to onboard? Recurring tasks to complete? Thanks to Inbox, you can easily organize them in an automated queue, removing time spent on guessing which task your operators should pick next. As a manager, you can also monitor their backlog and the performance of your team!

Inbox is a feature available by request. Contact us to ask for a demo or get it enabled!

🧰  Make Forest Admin tailored to your needs

Forest Admin offers a myriad of customization options that fit both small and large projects. From tweaking views to giving your non-technical team members clear access to user data to creating powerful custom operational workflows—everything is possible.

We strongly encourage you to give it a try in a local development environment. This video will guide you on how to do it and provide some inspiration 👇

🎅 December releases

SQL LiveQuery

It was already possible to create Live Query components such as charts, and segments), allowing you to create more sophisticated requests to the database. Now it is available in all v2 Forest Admin agents. Read the docs to learn how to enable it, and to see an example of how to create SQL Query Segments.

Organize your collections in folders

We've just released a UI improvement that lets you organize collections into folders. It's particularly useful when there are many collections to scroll through—or if you just like to keep things organized and group your collections by markets or sources. The setting is available in the layout editor. This is just the beginning of making your Forest Admin UI more flexible and customizable!

New to Forest Assist

Identifying the right record in your DB based on who is reaching out is a critical first step of solving a support ticket. Initially, Forest Assist used the name of the requester as a starting point, but it is now possible to use any Customer Field or Ticket Field from your support tool, in order to quickly find the right record.

For example if customers reaching out have to provide an "Order reference"  when submitting a request, and it's available on the ticket page, Forest Assist can be set up to use it to automatically search and load the matching record from your DB, enabling your Support Agent to immediately focus on the issue resolution process.

🎉  Forest Admin is officially SOC 2 compliant

Data security and privacy is of paramount importance at Forest Admin. That's why we're proud to announce we're officially compliant with SOC 2, a sought-after security and compliance standard.

Since Forest Admin launched in 2018, we’ve noticed an exciting wave of change in our clients’ operations teams. The rise of AI isn’t just transforming workflows—it’s opening up new possibilities for delivering amazing customer experiences. We’ve put together our insights in this guide, highlighting five trends that we believe will shape customer operations in 2025. Plus, we’ve created a handy free eBook for you!

🥁 Coming soon

As we said, organizing Collections into Folders is just the beginning of wider UI changes within Forest Admin; you can soon expect Inboxes, Workspaces, and Dashboards to be available in the same list alongside Collections.

We believe that grouping all your processes within a single view, organized within Folders, will drastically simplify your operators' day-to-day on Forest Admin...without even mentioning the upcoming game-changing capabilities of AI  🤫 Stay tuned!

That's all folks! If you have any questions about the new features, don't hesitate to let us know.
